Assess Your Child's Progress
Ask your child to identify the upper case letters on this page.

Sight Words
Check off the words your child can read.
Read the word to your child. Have your child tell you the vowel and if the vowel sound is long or short.
Read the word ending to your child. Have your child write three new rhyming words on the worksheet.
Kindergarten Rhyming Words
Read the rhyming word pairs and ask your child if they rhyme.
Supply A Rhyming Word
Read the word and have your child repeat the beginning sound in the first ten words. Beginning with the word tub read the word and ask them to say the ending sound.
Begining and Ending Sounds in Words
Read the list of words to your child. Have your child repeat the beginning sound in each word.
Phonemic Awareness-Blending Phonemes
The parent says the sounds in the word slowly and then the child blends the sounds together and says the word.
Alphabet Writing
Have your child write the alphabet using both upper and lower case letters using the worksheet provided. Check the letters they are having trouble with for future practice.
